Trident Version 1.7.0 - March 5, 2008

DAQTron is pleased to announce the release of version 1.7.0 of its Trident Suite.

New features in this release:
  • Support for SCTE 64-QAM and 256-QAM.
  • Added spectral inversion support for DVP
  • Digital Video Analysis Application for DVB-T and ATSC.
Updated features in this release:
  • Fixed Issues with Trigger Generation in DVP.
  • Fixed issue where DVG could not work with some TSG transport streams.
  • Adjusted ATSC peak power to prevent it from clipping.

  • Burst (Impulsive) Noise Impairment.

  • BER Only mode support in DVP.

  • ISDB-T Service ID automatically set.
  • Removed need to input video/audio parameters. They are now automatically determined from the input file.

DAQTron is pleased to announce the release of version 1.5.0 of its Trident Suite.

New features in this release:
  • DVB-S2 is now released.
  • BER testing is now released
  • DAQTron Video Generator now split into TSG and DVG applications
Updated features in this release:
  • Improved calibration of AWGN Impairment.
  • AWGN (SNR) can now be added using three different methods (CNR, Eb/No, Es/No)
  • Added Carrier Disable feature to AWGN for noise only measurements.
  • Installer now supports Windows Vista

DAQTron Finalizes Sigtek Acquisition - September 13, 2007

DAQTron, Inc. has announced that it has finalized acquisition of the DOCSIS product line of Filtronic Signal Solutions Sigtek division. DAQTron will continue to sell and support the current DOCSIS product line from DAQTron’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Additionally, DAQTron is currently proceeding with new product development and upgrades for the FSS DOCSIS products, utilizing development resources located in both the U.S. and in Europe.

Sigtek Acquisition - July 6, 2007

DAQTron and Filtronic Signal Solutions (FSS) signed agreements that DAQTron intends to acquire the Intellectual Property, some equipment assets, and inventory of the Sigtek group in Columbia, MD. DAQTron will provide sales and support for existing products such as the ST-260C from their Atlanta office, with development efforts for new products such as the 260D DOCSIS 3.0 RF Tracer continuing in Maryland. DAQTron expects to fully close on this transaction by end of July 2007, so please check back for further updates.

Trident Version 1.4.0 Released - June 27, 2007

DAQTron is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of its Trident Software Suite Version 1.4.0. In this version you'll notice the ability to create ISDB-T transport stream files along with full support for the ATSC (VSB) standard. As usual enhancements and bug fixes have been also been included.

DAQTron announces DOCSIS 3.0 Test Platform - May 1, 2007

DAQTron is building on their industry accepted Jupiter 200 platform for DOCSIS 2.0 testing. This new platform for DOCSIS 3.0 testing will be the Jupiter 300. DAQTron has integrated new National Instruments (NI) RF analyzer equipment in to the platform to accomplish the more rigorous upstream testing requirements for bandwidth and signal to noise. The architecture for the Jupiter 300 is being completely redesigned using NI TestStand to allow for (a) easier integration / modification of test routines by the customer, (b) integration of new DAQTron products such as DOCSIS 3.0 Trigger and DOCSIS 3.0 RF Tracer, and (c) easy integration of industry developed Test Execution Programs into the platform.
